Doors
All doors are guaranteed against warping, delaminating, swelling, or twisting which would render them unserviceable. Natural variations in the color or texture of the wood and seams in plywood panels are not to be considered defects. This warranty covers the replacement or repair in the white of the doors, F.O.B. our factory, in good condition as originally delivered. Doors must not be stored or installed in areas with excessive moisture or heat. All surfaces must be finished as soon as possible using the same sealer on all sides and edges to prevent undue absorption or release of moisture. Doors that are not finished within a week of scheduled ship date will not be warranted against warping. We cannot guarantee the stability of the surface of MDF doors finished with water-based finishes. A warp or twist up to 3/16˝ will not be considered a defect. Any quantity discrepancies or missing items on will called or DCD delivered orders must be noted at that time. All other methods of delivery must be reported within 72 hours of receipt. All items claimed defective must be reported and returned to our factory for inspection before repair or replacement can begin. Our liability under this warranty shall be limited to the net invoice price of the doors as sold by us. This warranty does not cover any installation or removal, labor or travel time of any kind, or any related products used with our doors. There are no further warranties of any kind, expressed or implied.
Veneer products are warranted to be similar in color to the wood frames. We always put our best effort into color matching, but a slight color variation will usually appear in the finished product. To get the best color match between the panel and frame, consider ordering a raised panel door style with panel profile 5 or 6. Some popular wood species are not produced in veneers. This requires us to use a veneer of a similar wood species. Please refer to our Lumber/Veneer Chart.
Because of the natural expansion and contraction of wood, any door with panels over 21˝ wide or any door over 72˝ high will not be warranted against warpage. Any cope & pattern door 48˝ or greater in height with panels or routed for glass, will be divided into two panels high. We will be glad to override this and manufacture your door with only one panel high at your request, but this will void any warranty on the door. All miter corner doors are limited to a height not to exceed 48˝. Exceeding this height will void your warranty. Any door over 36˝ in height must have three hinges to be warranted.
Flat slab doors (Newport Family) that exceed 20˝ wide will not be warranted against cupping.
